You Can with Beakman and Jax
Welcome to the home of Beakman Place and Jax Place from "Beakman's World". An excellent interactive site where kids can click on illustrations to see pictures taken from the Hubble Space Telescope of the planets, do interactive demonstration (but first you must download Shockwave which is accessible through the site) and find the answers to questions   like "Why is poop brown?" or "Why does a steel nail sink while a steel boat floats?" The Exploratorium, a Museum of Science, Art, and Human Perception, is located in the Palace of Fine Arts building in San Francisco.  This is their fabulous web site.  It show many of the exhibits found there.  Included are step-by-step pictures showing the dissection of a sheep's brain and a cow's eyeball.  The pictures and photos at this site are great.  They might be a little slow in downloading, but it's worth the wait. This is a great resource for the elementary student. Star Child has two levels from which to choose.  Topics include: Solar System, Universe, and  "Space Stuff" (topics related to space exploration).  Vocabulary terms are linked directly to a glossary by clicking on highlighted term. Solar System Simulator

Nasa Rocket Classroom Activities:

Especially Elementary - Guide to Meteorology (UIUC)

Yucky Stuff That Kids Want to Know
